Laser Pigmentation Instructions-
No excessive sun on the area for at least 2 weeks before and after your session (4 weeks prior if you had a sunburn on the area) Your should be as close to your natural skin tone as possible.
No sunless tanning creams or spray tans 3 weeks prior
No antibiotics for at least 2 weeks prior to your appointment
No medicated topical creams or retinol on the area for 5 days prior to your appointment
If possible, you should come to your appointment wearing no makeup
Be sure to wear Broad Spectrum SPF before and after your appointment
Avoid excessive heat for at least 24 hours post treatment- Including strenuous exercise, steam rooms, saunas, hot baths and showers.
The pigmentation may get darker before it gets lighter
If you experience any scabbing do not pick at it
If treating an area that has had injections the following waiting periods are recommended for a safe treatment:
Botox injections- Wait 2 weeks
Natural Fillers (e.g. Hyaluronic acid, collagen)- Wait 4-6 weeks
Synthetic Fillers (e.g. silicone)- Do not treat this area
